RESUMEN
El artículo empieza ubicando la obra del Inca Garcilaso en el contexto del indigenismo literario; luego, se intenta explicar la condición del autor en cuanto intermediario entre el referente y el destinatario de su obra, así como la naturaleza heterogénea de los Comentarios Reales. Como tema principal se desarrolla el fenómeno semántico de la comparación, como recurso técnico utilizado por el autor, con el propósito de mostrar el universo del Imperio de los Incas al destinatario europeo, especialmente español.

ABSTRACT
The article begins by placing the work of the Inca Garcilaso in the context of literary indigenism, then attempts to explain the status of the perpetrator as an intermediary between the referent and the addressee of his work, and the heterogeneous nature of the Real Commentaries. Main theme develops semantic phenomenon of comparison, as a technical resource used by the author, with the purpose of showing the world of the Inca Empire to European destination, especially Spanish.
