RESUMEN
La presente investigación tiene por propósito analizar el recurso natural “Humedales de Villa María” de la ciudad de Chimbote, para estudiar su problemática desde un punto de vista urbano-arquitectónico y medioambiental, detectar las causas del deterioro de este ecosistema, y proponer alternativas de solución ante el proceso degradación existente debido a la contaminación presente en la ciudad. El estudio se enfoca en lograr una propuesta sustentable enmarcado dentro de los parámetros del urbanismo concertado y la arquitectura respetuosa del medio natural, con la finalidad de evitar la pérdida de espacios naturales y de gran riqueza como este ecosistema; y así evitar las consecuencias a futuro en la calidad de vida, entorno urbano-ambiental y hábitat de los pobladores de ambos distritos.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to analyze the Natural Resource "Wetlands of Villa Maria in Chimbote city, to study the problem from an urban and architectural perspective and environmental issues, identify the causes of the deterioration of this ecosystem, and propose alternative solution to the existing degradation process due to the pollution in the city. The study focuses on achieving a sustainable proposal framed within the parameters of concerted planning and architecture that respects the natural environment, in order to avoid the loss of natural areas and great wealth as this ecosystem, and thus avoiding future consequences the quality of life, urban and environmental and habitat of the residents of both districts.
